The Royal Jazz Evening is being held for the 16th year. The event has become a beloved annualhighlight, always sold out, and is certainly of cultural significance to the entire region.
The goal of Vorstelijke Jazz is clear: to keep classic jazz—Classic Jazz, as it was played by the legendary jazz heroes of yesteryear—alive
In the 1930s and 1940s, racial discrimination in the U.S. led many leading jazz musicians to come to France, where they were welcomed with open arms. France, especially Paris, became a jazz paradise with many big bands, jazz cafés, studios, and jazz clubs—of which the Caveau de La Huchette is still an example today.
